2 Night 3 Day - Up Top Down Under
Day 1
- See the Daintree by air with helicopter flights from the local airstrip.
- Take a walk or swim at one of our secluded bays on Cow Bay Beach.
- Join Crocodylus Village Resort for Happy Hour from 6pm - 7pm, followed by dinner with a choice of restaurants & cafes in the area. If that’s not too much for the day, why not take in a guided night walk from 8pm - 11pm and see the rainforest come alive.
Day 2
- Enjoy a trip to the Great Barrier Reef for snorkeling and diving, or even a 4WD tour up the beautiful Bloomfield track stopping at Bloomfield falls with a guided walk from your hosts the Walker family of the Wujul Wujul community, then onto Cooktown for a day of sightseeing.
- Or mix the day up with a half day reef & snorkel trip followed by an afternoon horse ride through the rainforests of Cow Bay.
Day 3
- Join a Sunrise Paddle Trek from Cow Bay Beach with the Crocodylus Resort Crew at 6.30am - with snorkelling & swimming over delicate fringing reefs topped off with a tropical breakfast
- Take in lunch at one of our local cafes then stop off at the Alexandra Range Lookout before heading back to Cairns.
3 night 4 day Rest and Relaxation
Day 1
- On your way to the Daintree, stop off at the Daintree River and join a river cruise for some crocodile & bird spotting, with Bruce Belcher’s Daintree River Cruises.
- Visit the award winning Daintree Discovery Centre to get an insight into this special area.
- They offer guided tours and also have a coffee shop for lunch or afternoon tea.
- Sample homemade organic ice cream from the local ice cream factory, while you wander through the gallery with the local arts and crafts.
- Join the locals at Crocodylus Village Resort for Happy Hour from 6pm - 7pm, take in a homemade meal or choose from one of the local eateries in the area.
Day 2
- Enjoy a trip to the Great Barrier Reef for snorkeling and diving. (Full day snorkelling or diving reef tours leave from Cape Tribulation Beach with transfer from Cow Bay accommodation houses available.)
- OR join a 4WD tour up the beautiful Bloomfield track, stopping at Bloomfield falls with a guided walk from the traditional owners, the Walker family of the Wujul Wujul Community, then onto Cooktown for a day of sightseeing.
Day 3
- Go back in time and marvel at the huge forest of palms.
- Spoil yourself with a massage.
- Check out the amazing display of insects and more at the local insect museum.
- Have a meander along the Maardja Boardwalk to the Noah Creek viewing platform.
- Take in a crocodile cruise up Cooper Creek.
Day 4
- Join a Sunrise Paddle Trek with the Crocodylus crew at 6.30am - with snorkelling over delicate fringing reefs and a tropical breakfast to finish a beautiful morning before heading back to Cow Bay Beach around 10.30am.
- Look for cassowaries on the Jindalba Boardwalk, which the locals will tell you, is a cassowary hotspot.
- On your way back to Port Douglas or Cairns why not stop off at Mossman Gorge for a short stroll along the boardwalk, and if time permits indulge in a cool and refreshing swim.
6 night 7 day - Extreme Experience
Day 1
- Take a picnic lunch to Cow Bay Beach. Stroll along to Robinson Crusoe Beach, which is a lovely secluded little beach that you’ll probably have all to yourselves!
- Visit the local ice-cream factory sampling ice-cream made from tropical fruits from the orchard
- Happy Hour at your accommodation house followed by dinner with one of the many choices in the area followed by a guided night walk at Crocodylus Resort. Tour starts from 8pm.
Day 2
- Join Dan Irby on the Daintree River for an early morning bird watching tour
- Take in the beauty of the Daintree Village and maybe try for a spot of fishing on the river. Who knows - you may catch dinner.
- Explore the rainforest on horse-back with the local horse-riding tour.
Day 3 & 4
- 2 day sea kayaking tour to Snapper Island with Crocodylus Village Resort, departing at 7.30am and returning at 4pm the following day.
Day 5
- Join a guided rainforest walk with one of our eco friendly tour operators through some of the world’s most pristine forests.
- Lunch at a local café or relax on the beautiful sands of Cow Bay beach
- Join a cruise on Cooper Creek to search for crocodiles - afternoon cruises available.
- Dinner at one of our local restaurants or cafes, and maybe take in a movie at the local cinema.
Day 6
- Hire a bike from Crocodylus Resort and spend the day with an easy cycle to Thornton Beach, visiting swimming holes, boardwalks, cafés.
Day 7
- Indulge in a massage of your choice before returning to the real world.
