Destination Daintree

Daintree Crocodylus

If you want to get in touch with nature in the raw, and are not after manicured grass and air conditioners, then Daintree Crocodylus Village at Cow Bay is your answer.

Secluded in the depths of some of the last remaining lowland rainforest in the Daintree and Cape Tribulation, our accommodation guarantees you get up close and personal with the jungle and its inhabitants. Abundant wildlife including monitor lizards, bandicoots, cassowaries, boyds dragons, orange footed scrub fowls and myriad other tropical birds, mammals, and insects call this resort home, making Crocodylus a must for all nature lovers and a great place to experience the real Daintree.

Designed to maximise your eco-pleasure, without compromising your comfort, all our accommodation is nestled deep within Crocodylus’ own 21 acres of rainforest. The wooden and canvas bungalows are built safari tent style with high ceilings to catch the natural breezes.

Centrally located in beautiful Cow Bay, just north of the Daintree River, Crocodylus Village also offers the perfect location for exploring the Daintree and Cape Tribulation. You can take part in as many, or as few, activities as you like. From a two day sea-kayaking expedition to spectacular Snapper Island, to a gentle stroll through the rainforest with our resident guide Possum. We’ll make sure you get the most value for your holiday dollar.

After your days exploration, wind down the evening sharing your day’s activities with our friendly staff and other guests, or slip into the pool, surf the net, learn about the Daintree from our rainforest facts, or just relax. For those who still have energy to burn take our terrific jungle night walk, or join the kids in some board games or snooker.

We’ll keep you well fed and watered at Crocodylus Village too! Check out our famous Kingfisher Café, open 7am-10pm everyday with loads of budget-minded, fresh and tasty tropical fare or prepare your own in our fully equipped self-catering kitchen. Thirsty? - then quench your thirst at our fully licensed Gecko bar. Try a tropical cocktail with a twist or mix it up with one of our local brews.

Last but not least, when you just can't keep your eyes open any longer, make your way through the jungle to your very own piece of paradise and fall asleep to the sounds of the rainforest dreaming of tomorrows eco-adventures.

Renowned for our friendly, casual atmosphere (check us out on Trip Advisor ), we love nature and strive to ensure our guests get the best out of their Daintree stay. While you are with us make sure to ask us everything about the rainforest and its inhabitants. Steve and Jack are specialists at opening coconuts too!!
