Destination Daintree

Daintree Deep Forest Lodge

The Lodge at Cape Tribulation is secluded. It offers privacy and silence - there are no crowds. Deep in the rainforest The Lodge offers affordable plantation style apartments, fully equipped and self-catering. Alternatively, guests can enjoy a variety of local dining experiences.

Booking the entire Lodge is ideal for private functions. Family or groups reunions of up to 11 persons can socialise together and yet all have independent living accommodation.

Guests have access two World Heritage listed icons: the Cape Tribulation section of the Daintree National Park, which encloses Deep Forest Lodge, and the Great Barrier Reef which fringes the coastline.

Cassowary sightings, bird watching and plant identification deliver seasonal variations. Nocturnal activities are abundant as wildlife emerges from, or retires to the tree canopies.

Tour information, tour bookings and discount vouchers are offered on arrival. National Park boardwalks, guided walks, reef and river trips, 4WD trips, beach swimming and sun-tanning are favourite activities. We believe the Daintree Discovery Centre, which has been awarded countless honours for environmental education and engagements, should be the first call for initiation into this complex, ancient rainforest.

Within walking distance there is a combined service station and mini-mart offering basic supplies. Our hybrid power system includes a hydro turbine and solar panels and provides 24 hours power. Wi Fi is available in the reception area.

The journey to Deep Forest Lodge is a 2 hour drive from the Cairns International Airport. After the Daintree River Ferry crossing Deep Forest Lodge is 18kms north along Cape Tribulation Road.
