Cape Tribulation Camping

LOCATION & ROAD CONDITIONS

The road to Cape Tribulation is sealed. The campground driveway is 800m of gravel suitable for 2WD vehicles. The campground is 45 minutes from the ferry - keep an eye out for the big yellow sign just after Masons Shop.

 

CAMPGROUND OFFICE

The office is open 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm. Bookings can be made via phone and email. Check in time is from 11am and check out at 10am. All campers must arrive before dark unless prior arrangements have been made. Drop in for maps, visitor infomration and travel tips. You can also purchase popular camping items such as ice, bait, washing powder, mozzie spray, milk and bread.

 

AMENITIES & CAMP KITCHENS

Cape Trib Camping has four amenity blocks for guests and feature hot showers, toilets, laundry facilities (coin operated washing machines/dryers) and power points for hairdryers/shavers. There is Telstra and Optus phone service at the camp ground and paid wifi is available. Two camp kitchens are available and include gas cookers, BBQs, fridges, sinks and plenty of table space. You will need to bring your own cultery, pots and pans. There is also a licensed woodfired pizza cafe; please call the office for opening hours and the menu. 

 

CARAVAN STORAGE, WATER & DUMP POINT

Caravan storage is available for guests wanting to unhook and explore the 4WD track. Storage is $10 per night powered and $5 per night unpowered. Weekly and monthly rates are available for storage (not undercover). There is a dump point at the grounds which is free for guests to use. There is only bore water onsite to fill vans. You must book a powered site to fill your tank with water.
