SEASONAL OPENING INFORMATION
Although most tours, accommodation providers and restaurants are open all year round some have reduced operating hours, or may even close for a short time for renovations or the owner's/manager's own holiday during the traditionally quieter rainy season months from January through to March. Christmas and New Year are also generally quieter periods.

The "green season" has it's own special magic when sometimes spectacular rainfall ensures waterfalls and creeks are in full spate and the rainforest, birds, plants, frogs and wildlife are all vibrantly alive - there really is nothing quite like the sight, sound and even smell of warm tropical rain! But there are always days or weeks of beautiful sunshine as well.
There is also a chance of very heavy rain, or even a cyclone, causing some roads to become impassable, usually for a short time - simply listen to weather reports and plan your activities accordingly.
'GREEN SEASON' CLOSURES AND ALTERED HOURS (1 JANUARY - 31 MARCH 2020)
- Daintree Valley Haven B&B - Closed from 24 February until 13 March
- Daintree Village B&B - Closed from 1 December until 31 March
- D'Arcy of Daintree - Limited tour availability in February and March depending on weather and road conditions. No advance bookings for this period
- Daintree Village Hotel - Tues to Sat 10 am to 8 pm. Sun, Mon 10 am to 4.30 pm
- Whet Cafe Bar Restaurant - Open 7 Days & Nights until end of January. Closed 22 February to 23 March, open all other days through Feb & March
- Cape Trib Horserides - Closed February
- Ocean Safari - Open all February - closed 2-15 March inclusive
- Croc Xpresso Cafe - Closed February and March
- Mason's Cafe and Bottleshop - Cafe closed. Bottleshop and Store open Mon-Sat 2pm - 5pm - closed Sundays
- Daintree Boatman - Closed February and March
- Heritage Lodge - Seasonal hours February and March. Bookings at this time are essential
- Daintree Rainforest Village - open for business at the shop and campground every day through the green season...normal hours 7am to 6pm ...7 days per week.
- Lync Haven - Open for Breakfast and Lunch 7days a week from 8am till 3pm. Dinner 5.30pm till 7pm. Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat. Closed for dinner only on Sun, Mon, and Wed.
- Turtle Rock Cafe - Open from 7.30am till 3pm
- Safari Lodge - open from 7.30am till 4pm – LATE CHECK IN WELCOME for Camping
- Daintree Fishing - open February and March - bookings essential
- Friendly Grocer - 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Sunday
- Daintree Crocodylus - Dinner 6.30-7.70pm and bar 5-8pm everyday. Breakfast 8-10am including three or four vegan options
- Daintree Peaks Eco Stays - open every day for breakfast 7-8 am. Dinners 6-8 pm. Please book ahead
